S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kensho Transition Announcement - Completed - December 10, 2018

In March 2018, S&P Global announced that it had completed the acquisition of Kensho Technologies Inc. a leading edge provider of next-generation analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data visualization systems.


As part of this transaction, the Kensho Financial Products business, which provides custom baskets and indices to the financial community, including its flagship family of indices capturing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, will be incorporated in S&P Dow Jones Indices (“S&P DJI”), a division of S&P Global. S&P DJI will assume responsibility for the calculation, production, maintenance, licensing, and distribution of the Indices.
