As previously announced, effective Monday, September 19, 2016, the GICS structure will undergo changes that will impact S&P Dow Jones Indices. Below are additional details on the impact to indices calculated.
Please find below test files for the GICS Structure changes that will take place across S&P Dow Jones Indices effective September 19th, 2016. For the purposes of this transition we have used the S&P Global BMI, S&P 1500 Index, S&P 500 Index, S&P 600 index, and S&P 400 Index families as a test set of indices. The dates we have used for the changes in the test files is March 2nd, 2016 and March 3rd, 2016. These dates are purely for the purpose of producing sample files and in no way corresponds to the actual change date scheduled for September 19th, 2016.
