Hugo specializes in the application of geospatial data and open source intelligence to risk management, helping customers identify areas of exposure and opportunity from developed markets through to conflict zones. He also works on product innovation in the modelling of organized crime and non-state armed groups. He has more than a decade of experience working in country risk and open source intelligence (OSINT) collection teams. His work includes developing methodologies for mapping the human and physical indicators of risks to commercial operations and supply chains. He previously worked as an analyst on the Middle East and North Africa desk at Exclusive Analysis (now part of S&P Global).
Hugo holds a Bachelor of Arts in theology and religious studies from the University of Bristol and Master of Arts with Distinction in Near and Middle Eastern studies from University of London School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), both in the United Kingdom.
