The S&P Enhanced Yield North American Preferred Stock Index is designed to measure the performance of the 50 highest-yielding preferred stocks traded in the U.S. and Canada. Preferred stocks pay dividends at a specified rate and receive preference over common stocks in terms of dividend payments and liquidation of assets.
