The S&P Kensho Robotics Index is designed to measure the performance of companies focused on the robotics industry and significant subsystems.

A subsector index within the S&P Kensho New Economy Index Series, the S&P Kensho Robotics Index intends to represent companies involved in developing robots for a range of uses, as well as the ecosystem of supply chain companies providing specialized products and services. The number and types of companies involved in the robotics industry are expanding, along with the amount of manufacturing tasks that are automated worldwide. As the range of uses and prevalence of robots in society grows, there is a rising focus on developing both specialized components and complete robots.
