Stephanie Rowton
Director, Head of Sustainability Indices EMEA
Stephanie Rowton is Head of Sustainability Indices for EMEA at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). Stephanie is involved in the design, methodology and strategic direction of S&P DJI Sustainability Indices across EMEA, as well as working closely with the Global Research & Design, Sales and Marketing departments to bring new indices to market. S&P DJI caters to a diverse spectrum of sustainability investing needs, from best-in-class approaches like ESG Elite to broad-market alternatives to mainstream indices like the S&P 500® ESG Index.
Prior to joining S&P DJI, Stephanie spent 10 years at Allianz Global Investors, where she worked as an investment strategist to provide retail and institutional clients with investment insights and as a junior portfolio manager for an integrated ESG strategy. She also worked in institutional business development as a member of the European sales team. Stephanie has consulted for NASDAQ, helping the European data sales team promote their ESG products, and for the FAIRR Initiative, who look to help investors to exercise their influence as responsible stewards of capital.
Stephanie holds a BA (hons) in art history from the University of Manchester. She has also completed both her Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and her Legal Practice Course (LPC) from the University of Law, London Moorgate.
