Senior Analyst, Global Equity Indices
Hector Huitzil is a Senior Analyst, Global Equity Indices at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) in the Product Management group. Hector is a product manager for the global equity markets, covering a wide variety of indices, from broad benchmarks to smart beta and environmental, social and governance (ESG) indices.
Hector’s experience extends to designing, managing and promoting a wide range of indices. He has also worked closely with other product managers to regularly publish research and analytical reports on a variety of investment topics, including global equities, global REITs and Islamic finance. Hector previously worked for the General Directorate of Economic Research at the central bank of Mexico (Banco de México), where he focused on international economics. He also participated as a research assistant for papers focused on international economics, monetary and trade policy, labor market dynamics and global equity markets.
Hector graduated with distinction from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) with a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science. He is currently finishing his master’s degree in finance from the same institution.
