Andrew Cairns
Senior Director, Global Research & Design
Andrew Cairns is Senior Director, Global Research & Design (EMEA) at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). The group provides research on global index strategies across all asset classes and is responsible for the conceptualization and design of new index products.
Prior to joining the Global Research & Design team in 2018, Andrew worked in S&P DJI's Custom Index Production group, overseeing a small team of analysts responsible for managing the rebalancing and daily calculations of quantitative client strategies across all asset classes.
Andrew graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in mathematics and proceeded with further studies at the university, graduating with distinction with a Master of Science in operational research.
