Corporate Event File Display Enhancements for Weighted Indices
S&P Dow Jones Indices is making enhancements to its corporate event files (*.SDE) for weighted indices. This change impacts Non-Market Capitalization and Equal Weighted indices and will be phased in over time for preannounced groups of indices.
The changes are predominantly qualitative and do not impact anything in relation to how constituent data (e.g. Index Shares, Additional Weight Factors, Weights, etc.) is derived or calculated for the respective indices and their methodologies. The changes will not impact how the corporate event file is processed.
