Vivint Solar Inc. on March 10 booked a fourth-quarter 2019 non-GAAP net loss of $125.3 million, or negative $1.02 per share, compared to a net loss of $86.8 million, or negative 73 cents per share, in the comparable period in 2018.
Total revenue for the quarter was $77.1 million, up from $63.5 million in fourth-quarter 2018. Loss from operations was $66.5 million, compared to a loss $40 million in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The solar company installed approximately 66 MW for the quarter, up 22% from the corresponding period of 2018. Cost per watt was $3.54.
On a GAAP basis, fourth-quarter net loss attributable to common stockholders was $33.5 million, or negative 27 cents per share, compared to net loss attributable to common stockholders of $12.9 million, or negative 11 cents per share, in the last quarter of 2018.
For full-year 2019, Vivint posted a non-GAAP net loss of $423.3 million, or negative $3.49 per share, compared to a net loss of $279.6 million, or negative $2.38 per share, in 2018.
Revenues for 2019 rose to $341.0 million from $290.3 million a year ago. Net loss attributable to common stockholders totaled $102.1 million, or negative 84 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $15.6 million, or negative 13 cents per share in 2018.
For the first quarter of 2020, Vivint expects to install 57 MW to 60 MW, with a cost-per-watt target of $3.68 to $3.75. For the full year, the company expects 15% to 20% growth in installed MW.
