Providence Service changes name to ModivCare

The Providence Service Corp. has changed its corporate name to ModivCare Inc.

The Atlanta-based healthcare services provider's non-emergency medical transportation unit LogistiCare Solutions LLC has also been renamed ModivCare Solutions LLC.

The company's common stock will trade under the new symbol MODV on Nasdaq starting Jan. 7.

ModivCare President and CEO Daniel Greenleaf said in a Jan. 6 news release that the name change has allowed the company to align its entire organization around its core purpose.

The company's personal and home care unit Simplura Health Group will retain its name and branding for now.
