LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton Société Européenne is in talks with potential bidders for the sale of its clothing company Pink Shirtmaker, Women's Wear Daily reported Dec. 14, citing undisclosed sources.
The sale process is in advanced stages, with a buyer potentially coming from the U.S., where Pink sells premium shirts, the report said.
The brand's e-commerce platform is no longer running while its stores in London, which shut because of the coronavirus-prompted lockdowns, will no longer reopen, the report added.
The news come just two years after the company's rebranding into Pink Shirtmaker from its original name Thomas Pink.
The men's wardrobe company was founded in 1984 by three Irish brothers — James, Peter and John Mullen. It was bought by LVMH in 1999.
The French luxury goods group did not immediately respond to S&P Global Market Intelligence's requests for comment.
In September, LVMH also parted ways with fashion designer Nicholas Kirkwood, who is in the process of taking back control and ownership of his namesake company, the report added.
