The acquisition by Providence of LaCentrale, a French car classifieds portal specializing in used cars and utility vehicles, is supported by a €190 million unitranche from Macquarie and Bridgepoint Credit and a €15 million super senior revolving credit facility from Bank of Ireland, according to sources.
LaCentrale was marketed off €35 million EBITDA, sources said. Macquarie holds around two-thirds of the unitranche, while Bridgepoint Credit holds around a third, the sources added.
Since 2016, the company has been a subsidiary of the German Group Axel Springer, which then sold it to Providence for approximately €400 million. Lazard was advising on the sale.
