The S&P Kensho New Economies Select Index is designed to measure the performance of companies involved in the New Economies 21st Century Sectors, including a dynamically adjusted list of companies drawn from all of the S&P Kensho Subsector Indices.

A broad market index within the S&P Kensho New Economy Index Series, the S&P Kensho New Economies Select Index intends to represent companies that are focused on propelling the Fourth Industrial Revolution and fostering new industries that will be transformative. The index measures the New Economies via a subset of the five best-performing subsector indices. It utilizes a proprietary quantitative weighting algorithm to track these individual indices in their lifecycle from nascent industries all the way through maturity, striking a unique balance between mainstream and cutting-edge companies as they shift their strategic focus to the 21st Century Sector technologies driving the rise of the New Economy.
