“We are very excited of our relationship with BYMA which is allowing us to create tools to help in the development of the capital markets” said Silvia Kitchener, Director of Product Management for S&P DJI. “As the Argentinian equity markets grow, these new sector indices will allow investors and analysts to focus on specific areas of the market for the first time.”
“We are proud to announce this launch, which brings us closer to the level of the most developed capital markets in the world,” said Ernesto Allaria, President of BYMA. “The sector indices will provide valuable information for the analysis and tracking of the different economic sectors. The sector índices will join S&P DJI’s existing family of índices in Argentina which includes the S&P/BYMA Argentina General, the S&P Merval and the S&P Merval Argentina. For full fact sheets and methodologies, visit www.spdji.com.
