In this release, we introduced Rates and Yields in SPG, SPGRangeV and SPGTable functions in the S&P Capital IQ Pro Plug-in and added the functionality of retrieving lists for Fixed Income and Equity securities.
Rates and Yields in S&P Capital IQ Pro Plug-in
Users can now use the standard SPG, SPGTable, and SPGRangeV functions to retrieve Rates and Yields data, including Value, Term, Type, Country, and other related metrics.
To retrieve the Rates & Yields data, use the legacy Capital IQ identifiers or the unique Capital IQ Pro Rates & Yields identifiers that start with the “%SPT” prefix followed by a unique number. Each unique number of a Rate or a Yield can be found in the URL of the corresponding chart page within the S&P Capital IQ Pro platform. For example, the URL for the chart page for Canadian Prime Rate is https://www.capitaliq.spglobal.com/web/client?auth=inherit#markets/marketCharts?keyRateList=2130; the unique number at the end of this URL (2130) is used for the identifier (i.e., “%SPT2130”). Use this identifier to retrieve Rates & Yields data (e.g., =SPG(“%SPT2130”,”SP_RATE_VALUE”)).
Find it in the platform:
- In Excel, launch S&P Capital IQ Pro Plug-in and open Formula Builder
- Within the Companies workflow, navigate to Data Items > Market Data > Rates and Yields
