Regions Bank names chief marketing officer; Texas Capital Bancshares names EVPs

Banking

Birmingham, Ala.-based Regions Bank named Abbas Merchant chief marketing officer, succeeding Michele Elrod in leading the bank's corporate marketing group.

Elrod's retirement is effective in January. Merchant, who officially joined the bank Jan. 19, previously was group vice president of consumer and business marketing, and customer analytics and sciences, at M&T Bank.

Texas Capital Bancshares Inc. and unit Texas Capital Bank NA appointed Nancy McDonnell to the newly created position of executive vice president and head of treasury services. Tim Storms was appointed to the newly created position of executive vice president and head of risk transformation.

Both appointments are effective immediately.

McDonnell served as global head of commercial banking treasury and security services, and in other senior client roles, at JPMorgan Chase & Co. until she retired in 2020.

Storms worked at JPMorgan and its predecessor firms for nearly 38 years, most recently as chief risk officer of commercial banking's real estate businesses until he retired in 2019.

Larry Otto, who has served as St. Louis market president for U.S. Bank NA since 2015, is set to retire, effective March 19, the St. Louis Business Journal reported Jan. 25.

A search for Otto's successor is underway, according to the report.

Pamela Perdue joined Jonesboro, Ga.-based Heritage Southeast Bank as senior vice president and chief compliance officer.

Perdue, who will be based in McDonough, Ga., has over 30 years of experience serving in compliance and regulatory roles at financial organizations.

Fairfax, Va.-based FVCBankcorp Inc. named Meena Krishnan a member of its board, effective Jan. 21. Krishnan was also appointed a director of the company's unit, FVCbank.

Krishnan has been president and CEO of Inoventures LLC since 2014.

Larry Ross has been appointed to the board of Conway, Ark.-based Home BancShares Inc., filling the last open seat.

Ross is a retired executive from AT&T/Southwestern Bell with more than 30 years of service.

The boards of Elmira, N.Y.-based Chemung Financial Corp. and Chemung Canal Trust Co. elected Raimundo Archibold Jr. to serve as a director of the company and the bank, effective Jan. 20. Archibold will stand for shareholder election at the annual meeting of shareholders in June.

Archibold is a managing director of Schwartz Heslin Group Inc.

Financial services

Movencorp Inc. named Bryan Clagett chief revenue officer, according to a news release posted Jan. 21 on CUInsight.com.

Clagett has three decades of leadership experience in the financial services and financial technology markets.
