Nestlé Waters buys assets of Palomar Mountain Spring Water

Nestlé Waters North America Inc. said Oct. 19 that it bought certain assets of Palomar Mountain Premium Spring Water in Escondido, Calif., to strengthen the presence of its beverage delivery service ReadyRefresh in Southern California.

The Nestlé SA unit said the acquisition will expand ReadyRefresh's reach within San Diego County, Orange County, Riverside County and Los Angeles County.

ReadyRefresh allows consumers, as well as small and large businesses, to order deliveries of still and sparkling water brands, in addition to coffee and tea products. Customers can also choose from a range of beverage dispensers and accessories.

The financial terms of the transaction, which closed Oct. 16, were not disclosed.

In September, Nestlé Waters acquired certain assets from Vista Springs Bottled Water Co. in the Greater Sacramento area to expand its ReadyRefresh business.
