LPL Financial names chief accounting officer

Banking

Rockland, Mass.-based Independent Bank Corp. and unit Rockland Trust Co. board member David Powers will retire from the boards, effective Dec. 30.

Powers' retirement is in line with the company's governance principles requiring board members who reach the age of 72 during their term to retire.

The size of both boards will lower to 12 with Powers' retirement.

Dubuque, Iowa-based Heartland Financial USA Inc.'s board added Christopher Hylen as an independent director.

Hylen is CEO and a member of Reltio Inc.'s board.

Roseburg, Ore.-based Umpqua Bank promoted Ashley Hayslip to lead its newly formed community and business banking division.

Hayslip managed the bank's Paycheck Protection Program implementation efforts and has served as senior vice president of strategy since 2016.

Financial services

LPL Financial LLC hired Brent Simonich as executive vice president, chief accounting officer and treasurer, effective Dec. 14.

Simonich joins LPL from E*TRADE, where he was most recently executive vice president and chief risk officer.
