The Los Angeles Dodgers won bankruptcy court approval of the team’s disclosure statement at a hearing today in Wilmington, Del., keeping it on track for an April 13 confirmation hearing.
As previously reported, the team’s proposed reorganization plan anticipates that all claims will be satisfied in full, either through their assumption by the reorganized company or by the payment of cash from proceeds from the sale of the team.
“Bidders have shown tremendous interest in the opportunity to purchase the Dodgers and related assets, and the Dodgers look forward to a very successful conclusion to their bankruptcy case,” the team said following the hearing. If the plan is confirmed, the team expects to exit Chapter 11 by April 30. – John Bringardner
