In this pre-esports, pre-Play to Earn world, Steve supplemented his tournament income by writing strategy articles, buying & selling cards on eBay, doing live event coverage with Wizards of the Coast, editing/content managing StarCityGames.com
Since retiring from professional Magic, Steve has spent the past decade launching and operating hit free to play games. Most recently, Steve headed up WB Games’s Boston studio, where he launched the mobile real time strategy game Game of Thrones: Conquest. Steve led the team to develop industry-leading live ops capabilities enabling them to scale Game of Thrones into a top grossing games franchise.
Prior to launching Game of Thrones: Conquest, Steve held leadership roles at Sega where he fulfilled a childhood dream of working on Sonic the Hedgehog by operating Sonic Dash (300 million+ lifetime installs). Steve’s experience running original IP includes PlayDots (acquired by TakeTwo), where he launched and operated the beloved puzzle game TwoDots, a title that has been played by over 100 million players across the globe.
Collectively, Steve has overseen over $1B in cumulative product revenue. Steve has worked on top global IP including Game of Thrones, Sonic the Hedgehog, Batman, WWE, The Walking Dead, Twilight & more.
