The year of 2021 marked a particularly active one for M&A activity. Open capital markets and low interest rates helped fuel big ticket transactions as buyers across the globe made strategic decisions to meet changing consumer behaviors that were accelerated by the pandemic. The deal-making reached new heights as the total value of global announcements topped $1 trillion in each of the year's first three quarters. As 2021 draws to a close, our panel of M&A experts will review transaction data and share their perspectives on whether the trends will continue in 2022.

He later joined the senior management team of one of his investment banking clients, Symantec, as Head of Corporate Development, leading its strategic acquisitions, alliances and corporate venture investing.
He has served on the board of managers of the University of Virginia Alumni Association, the board of trustees of the Potomac School, the Board of Corrections for the Commonwealth of Virginia, and is a member of the New America Alliance.
