David is the Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at S&P Global and serves as head of the Brussels office.

His role includes working with stakeholders on policy and regulatory matters as well as coordinating external relations across S&P Global’s corporate functions and divisions: S&P Global Ratings, Platts, Market Intelligence, and S&P Dow Jones Indices.

Prior to joining S&P Global, David was Head of Financial Services at an international consulting firm specialising in financial regulation, communications, and investor relations. In 2014, he was named by Financial News as one of the 40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Trading and Technology.

David began his career at a global provider of compliance and payments solutions. He has worked as a research analyst with a leading Brussels based security and defence think tank advising EU and international organisations and as the Executive Director of an international foreign policy NGO.

He is the Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU’s Sustainable Finance Task Force, and serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Council for Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP).

David holds degrees in History and in International Relations from the Trinity College Dublin, University of Dublin (Gold Medal), the Sorbonne – Paris IV, and the University of Cambridge. Minimize

Viktor Elliot is PhD in Business Administration with a special focus on Bank Management, Regulation, Financial Institutions and Markets, Supply Chain Finance, Management Accounting and Performance Management. Elliot teaches at all levels including courses such as: Financial Institutions and Markets, Strategic Management Accounting, Business Analytics and Management Control Package. Elliot is currently involved in three research projects: "Indebtedness and overindebtedness among the young generation", "Regulatory Arbitrage in Banks" and "Supply Chain Finance visibility". Elliot is director of Business IT Lab (Bitlab), a hub for work on digitalization within the Department of Business Administration. Elliot has organized several executive educations for bank managers and is currently responsible for an executive education for board members in banks held at the School of Business, Economics and Law at Gothenburg University. Mette Grolleman delivers senior advice to clients on policy, competition and reputation issues in the financial services sector.

Mette joined FleishmanHillard in 2017, having previously served as an advisor on financial services to Vice-President Dombrovskis of the European Commission, and prior to that Commissioner Jonathan Hill. Prior to joining the Commission, Mette worked as a Financial Counsellor at the Danish Permanent Representation to the EU and for more than a decade served in the Danish public administration, latterly as a Senior Advisor in the Ministry for Business and Growth.

Mette hold a Masters of Law from the University of Copenhagen. She is fluent in Danish, English and Dutch and has a working knowledge of German and French. Minimize
