Sustainability Matters | Episode 3: Scaling the Transition – with Curtis Ravenel

Welcome to S&P Global's Sustainability Matters, your practical guide to the latest updates, expert insights, and cutting edge solutions on sustainability matters for investment professionals.

The TCFD marked a watershed moment for the sustainable investment landscape. Armed with an unprecedented mandate from the FSB, the project accelerated access to climate-related financial information to mitigate the potentially systemic implications of climate change. Almost a decade on, the TCFD has now passed the baton onto a host of other actors— from GFANZ to the ISSB— whose focus now turn to mobilizing investors from disclosure to action. But will these new frameworks deliver? And are capital markets truly primed to scale the transition?

Join us for a deep dive with Curtis Ravenel, one of the key architects behind some of these standards, as we explore their evolution, and what else investors should expect as they prepare for the potentially largest industrial-scale transformation of the global economy since the Industrial Revolution.
