Previously, she spearheaded the launch of the flagship S&P 500® ESG Index as Head of the North American ESG Index business for S&P Dow Jones Indices and supported institutional investors on climate goals as a Director at S&P Global Trucost. Prior to S&P, Mona held various ESG leadership roles, as Research Director of the 2° Investing Initiative, a Climate Policy Advisor to the Obama Administration, and as an Economist at the UK’s Bank of England.
Mona graduated Summa Cum Laude in Government and Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and has published extensively on sustainable finance topics. As a recognized ESG expert and educator, she has received numerous accolades, including the 2019 FiNext Excellence in Finance Leadership Award, the Women in Asset Management Awards’ 2021 Index Leader Award and 2021 Next Generation Leader of the Year Award. Mona currently also serves a Member of the Governance Council of the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), which aims to elevate human health and wellbeing to the forefront of ESG frameworks and standards.
