Supporting Women's Entrepreneurship

Since 2016, S&P Global has partnered with MicroMentor, a growing online community of entrepreneurs and volunteer mentors, to bring our people and women entrepreneurs together to foster economic growth.

With support from our employee resource group, Women's Initiative for Networking and Success (WINS), more than 550 of our people have volunteered their skills and talents to mentor female entrepreneurs starting new businesses in the U.S. and around the world. This year, the partnership expanded to Pakistan, as part of our commitment with the US-Pakistan Women’s Council to mentor 20,000 girls and women over three years.

  • In 2020, we launched a MicroMentor community and microsite dedicated to S&P Global Pakistan’s pledge. There are currently more than 130 S&P Global Pakistan mentors and 300 mentees on the dedicated platform.
  • MicroMentor received a COVID-19 emergency grant from the S&P Global Foundation to recruit and train 30,000 new mentors, who in turn will help 100,000 small businesses globally access COVID-19 relief funds and adapt to economic pressures.
  • A recent survey showed that entrepreneurs mentored in the MicroMentors program increased their revenue by 83 percent.
