Jesus Ozuna is a principal research analyst at IHS Markit, providing insightsand analytics for the hydraulic fracturing market, electric fracturing technology, and other areas related to the onshore North American oil and gas market. Mr. Ozuna serves clients across the banking, service, and operational sectors. Prior to joining IHS Markit, he was founder of Emerald, a data analytics and crypto startup. There he led and managed the creation of an application that uses an automated data collection system multivariable and signal-based model for the burgeoning cryptocurrency market and commodities sector. The system uses decision tree algorithm principles, data clustering, and in-house proprietary methodology for extrapolating deep analytics from leading financial indicators. Prior to the Emerald startup, Mr. Ozuna served in a variety of roles from program manager in a logistics and global supply company to staff quality and process improvement engineer within Ansaldo Energia subsidiary Power Systems Manufacturing. Mr. Ozuna has more than five years' experience in the power generation gas turbine manufacturing and reconditioning industry and served many roles focused on improving quality, increasing operational efficiency, and reducing cost through implementation of new technology, information systems, Lean Six Sigma principles, and deep analytics. Mr. Ozuna holds both a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and a Master of Science in industrial engineering (specialty in systems engineering) from the University of Central Florida, United States.
