Senior Analyst, Country Risk - Indicators & Analytics

Sarah Meagher works as an analyst on the planning and execution of expanded data-driven forecasting and risk modelling within Indicators & Analytics at S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Sarah has specialized in political and violent risk forecasting since 2006. She has contributed to the development of political violence risk indicators and methodology, quantitative and qualitative risk ratings, intelligence and meta-data collection and using geocoded indicator events for geospatial analysis (TerrorRisk). She led product development of Foresight and later worked toward the merge with, and analyst enhancement of Country Risk. Her areas of subject expertise include Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) metadata development, political and violent risk (including active shooter) underwriting, and cargo risk. She was the managing editor of Global Risk Outlook 2007, Global Risk Outlook 2008, Foresight 2011 and the Quarterly - Country Risk series.

She previously worked in the government security contracting industry in Washington, D.C. Sarah holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of California - Berkeley, United States, and an Master of Science in European and international politics from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
