William Magee is an economist on the US Macro Economics team with a focus on US stress testing and alternative scenarios at S&P Global Market Intelligence
William simulates optimistic and pessimistic forecast paths for the spreads of fixed-income securities of different maturities as a part of the CECL services and simulates severely adverse near-term macro-financial shocks for BHCs. His other roles include regularly producing reports on data releases, automating data-heavy workflows, estimating economic models, and building client-specific statistical and modeling tools.
He joined S&P Global Market Intelligence in 2020. He has prior experience working as a policy research intern at the Show Me Institute in St. Louis, Missouri, where he researched the impacts of local and statewide public policies on Missouri's economic outcomes.
William holds a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in mathematics from Saint Louis University.
