Karl Melkonyan is a senior analyst within the solar technology andbusiness intelligence teams at IHS Markit.
Mr. Melkonyan specializes in market research and analysis for power and energy, in particular research of photovoltaic (PV) markets and solar companies. His research focus includes financial analysis, manufacturing technologies and materials, and trends and requirements of the PV industry. In his prior posts at Wicht Technologie Consulting and the consulting firm iSuppli Corp (now IHS Markit), Mr. Melkonyan worked as a research analyst for electronics, PV, and microelectromechanical systems, as well as supported the development of databases and information technology.
He studied electrical engineering at the State Engineering University of Armenia and the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He speaks English, German, Russian, and Armenian.
