As I wrap my second CERAWeek by S&P Global in Houston, I continue to be impressed by this event. It is the premier gathering of the energy industry and the main forum for discussing and debating its role in the energy transition. As an economist, I can compare it only with the annual World Bank–IMF meetings. In addition to the main venue, CERAWeek includes the Agora, featuring a variety of potential technologies that will be critical to achieving our decarbonization ambitions. While I offered my own views in a number of panels, overall, it was definitely a week of learning for me.
