Ratings On 436 Issuers Placed Under Criteria Observation Following Publication Of New U.S. Government Methodology

CHICAGO (S&P Global Ratings) Sept. 9, 2024--S&P Global Ratings today placed its ratings on 436 issuers under criteria observation (UCO). This follows the publication of our updated "Methodology For Rating U.S. Governments" earlier today.

The ratings on the issuers listed below--and, where relevant, the related debt issues--are under criteria observation. These ratings have the "UCO" label in the Regulatory Identifier column on the individual issuer pages of S&P Global Ratings' online credit rating products.

We will keep the UCO identifier in place until the conclusion of our reviews of these credits under the new criteria, at which time we may affirm the ratings or change them. We plan to complete these reviews within the next six months.

Following changes in rating methodology, credit rating agencies regulated under Regulation (EC) No. 1060/2009, as amended, are required to immediately place credit ratings potentially affected by such changes "under criteria observation" (see "Standard & Poor's Announces "Under Criteria Observation" Identifier For Ratings Potentially Affected By Criteria Changes," published May 7, 2013).
