Viacom Inc.and CBS Corp.Chairman Emeritus Sumner Redstone has appointed two new members to the board ofNational Amusements Inc. and its related trust, which houses the 92-year-old'smajority voting control of the media companies in the event of his death orincapacitation, Variety reported May24.
The new trustees are Tad Jankowski, general counsel atNational Amusements, and Jill Krutick, a former equity analyst. Additionally,Redstone named Krutick and Kimberlee Ostheimer, Redstone's granddaughter, asmembers of National Amusements Inc.'s board.
"This is my trust and my decision. I have picked thosewho are loyal to meand removed those who are not," Redstone reportedly said in a preparedstatement released by an attorney to Variety.
Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman and board member George Abramswere recently removedfrom the trust. The two have filed a lawsuitseeking their reinstatement.
