Backus & Johnston Brewery said its third-quarter normalized net income came to 268.8 million soles, an increase of 27.2% from 211.2 million soles in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 24.5% from 22.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 18.5% on an annual basis to 1.10 billion soles from 925.9 million soles, and total operating expenses increased 14.0% on an annual basis to 651.3 million soles from 571.5 million soles.

Reported net income totaled 309.9 million soles, compared with 229.1 million soles in the prior-year period.

As of Nov. 13, US$1 was equivalent to 3.33 soles.
