Dennis Funa was elected as chairman of Asian Reinsurance Corp., BusinessWorld reported.

Funa replaces Abdolnaser Hemmati, who was named governor of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Funa serves as commissioner of the Philippines' Insurance Commission.
