A court in Liechtenstein commissioned law firm Batliner Wanger Batliner Attorneys at Law Ltd. to act as liquidator for Gable Insurance AG, the country's Financial Market Authority said Nov. 18.

The FMA said the liquidation proceedings are underway, adding that the winding-up contract will expire four weeks after the information was made public.

The action came Nov. 17 after an application for a winding-up petition was filed Nov. 14 by special administrator PricewaterhouseCoopers against the Gable Holdings Inc. unit.
