Xumo surpasses 24 million US monthly active users since January – Variety

Comcast Corp.-owned ad-supported streaming platform Xumo LLC surpassed 24 million monthly active users in the U.S. since January, Variety reported Oct. 5, citing the streamer.

The streaming service reportedly registered more than twice the amount of total streaming hours over the period.

CEO Colin Petrie-Norris, who primarily attributed the viewership rise to the coronavirus crisis, reportedly noted more content, new distribution partners and the integration of Xumo's on-demand catalog with Xfinity X1 and Flex services.

Comcast bought Xumo for an undisclosed sum earlier in February.
