Banking

San Diego-based Bank of Southern California NA appointed Danni Remington Smithson executive vice president and regional manager in Orange County, Calif.

Smithson, who will be based in the company's Irvine, Calif., office, most recently was senior vice president and regional manager for "a local commercial bank," according to a news release.

Walnut Creek, Calif.-based California Bank of Commerce added Lindsey Fudge to its Sacramento, Calif., team as a senior relationship manager specializing in commercial real estate lending.

Fudge joined from First Bank, where she most recently served as senior vice president of commercial real estate.

Glenn Hutchins stepped down from the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, effective Jan.8.

Hutchins is chairman of North Island, co-founder of Silver Lake, and co-chairman of the Brookings Institution and CARE.

Hutchins joined the board in September 2011 as a Class B director. He served as chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for nine years and also served as co-chair of the search committee for the bank's president and CEO, John Williams.

BNY Mellon Investment Management Holdings LLC named Dawn Tutje head of its financial institutions group in North America.

Tutje most recently served as an executive director and head of sub-advisory, DCIO, and clearing and custody platforms at Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc.

Lincoln, Neb.-based West Gate Bank promoted Jeremey Shiers to executive vice president of the bank and president of the bank's mortgage division, the Lincoln Journal Star reported Jan. 10.

Shiers will be taking over from Mark Hansen, who is retiring.

Shiers, who joined the bank in 2016 as CFO of the mortgage division, was also elected to the bank's board.

Harrisburg, Pa.-based Centric Financial Corp. promoted Sandra Schultz to senior vice president and CFO, effective immediately.

Schultz has been in executive leadership at the bank since 2008.

Financial services

Horizon Technology Finance Management LLC appointed Sara Johnson managing director of technology.

Johnson joined Horizon from CIBC. She will be based in Austin, Texas and will lead the company's efforts in sourcing loan opportunities for technology companies in the Midwest and in southern regions.

Visa Inc. appointed Kelly Mahon Tullier to the newly created position of executive vice president, chief legal and administrative officer.

Deputy General Counsel and Chief Counsel for North America Julie Rottenberg will succeed Tullier as general counsel and senior vice president.

Tullier will continue to oversee legal and compliance and will manage global communications and corporate services.

Hunter Point Capital LP named Jackie Roberts managing director of environmental, social and governance, Pensions & Investments reported Jan. 11.

Roberts is currently chief sustainability officer at agricultural firm AppHarvest Inc. Prior to that, she was Carlyle Group Inc.'s first chief sustainability officer.

Cohen & Steers Inc. appointed Koichiro Teramoto head of sales in Japan.

Teramoto joined Cohen & Steers from Nikko Asset Management Co. Ltd., where he was responsible for overseeing the firm's institutional relationships.
