Warner Bros. Discovery Inc.'s streaming service, HBO Max, has joined as a partner in Verizon Communications Inc.'s direct-to-consumer content hub, +play.
HBO Max adds to more than 20 streaming platforms that will be available on +play ahead of its commercial rollout, according to an April 20 news release. The roster of partner services already includes Netflix Inc.; Walt Disney Co.'s Disney+, Hulu LLC and ESPN+; discovery+; AMC Networks Inc.'s AMC+; and TelevisaUnivision Inc.'s Vix+.
Announced in March, +play allows Verizon customers to discover, purchase and manage multiple subscriptions across various platforms in one place. It also enables users to learn about exclusive deals and offerings for content services.
