TZP Group bought Awareness Technologies Inc., a provider of security, monitoring, productivity and analytics software.

The investment was the first through the firm's TZP Small Cap Partners II LP vehicle. Financial terms were not disclosed.

At the same time, Awareness Technologies named Elizabeth Harz as the company's new CEO.

Kirkland & Ellis and Robinson+Cole provided legal counsel to TZP and the sellers, respectively.
