The sale of Swiss education group Sommet Education Sàrl, which specializes in hospitality management and culinary arts, has begun with Rothschild advising, according to market sources.
The company is being marketed off EBITDA of roughly €30 million, sources said.
Eurazeo invested in Sommet Education in 2016, and in 2019 Sommet acquired a 51% stake in France-based cookery schools operator École Ducasse.
Based in Lausanne, Sommet Education operates hospitality management institutions Glion and Les Roches, which have campuses in Switzerland, Spain, China and the U.K., attracting international undergraduate and graduate students. The culinary and pastry schools of École Ducasse offer bachelor’s degrees, courses for career changers and continuous professional training, and private courses for food enthusiasts across three campuses in France, as well as through partnerships with overseas universities.
