Alexander Zharov will take over as CEO of Russian media group JSC Gazprom-Media Holding, Broadband TV News reported, citing RBC.
According to the report, Zharov will assume the vacant role of chief executive at Gazprom-Media, following the appointment of Dmitry Chernyshenko as deputy prime minister in the Russian government.
Zharov is currently head of Russia's telecom and media regulator, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media, or Roskomnadzor. He held senior roles in the government and in Russian state broadcaster VGTRK.
