LS Power Group affiliate Magic Valley Energy LLC is developing an 800-MW wind energy project in southern Idaho.
The Salmon Falls project will be located on lands managed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management in Twin Falls County, Idaho, LS Power said in a March 17 news release. The facility, along with the planned 1,050-MW Lava Ridge Wind Project, will contribute to generating zero-carbon electricity in the West, the release said.
Magic Valley Energy is in the initial stages of developing the project, which includes interacting with federal, state and local agencies as well as broader outreach to local stakeholders.
Construction could begin as early as 2024, LS Power said.
