ICG adds Strong, Veleba to credit fund management team

IGC logoNick Strong has recently joined ICG as one of the loan portfolio managers in its credit fund management team, reporting to Jeff Boswell. Laetitia Veleba also joins the credit fund management team as a credit analyst, reporting to David Ford.

Strong was previously at Rothschild for nine years working in its debt fund management division, and involved in managing the CLO platform and secondary trading desk.

Veleba has over 10 years’ experience in credit markets, having previously worked as an industrials European HY credit analyst at Deutsche Bank, in Morgan Stanley’s leveraged finance team, and more recently in HY debt capital markets at ING.

The new hires follow the recent successful closing of St Paul’s CLO II, a €400 million CLO arranged by Lloyds, that priced in July 2013.

ICG is a specialist sub-investment-grade debt manager, with €12.5 billion of assets under management. The credit fund management team manages 20 credit funds specialising in senior loans and high-yield bonds, with a total of €4.9 billion of third-party funds under management as of March 31, 2013, according to the company’s website. – Staff reports
