Leonard Green raises $18.3B across 2 funds; SwanCap secures €400M for PE fund

TOP NEWS IN PRIVATE EQUITY

* Private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners LP raised $14.7 billion for Green Equity Investors IX LP and $3.6 billion for Jade Equity Investors II LP. The Los Angeles-based firm is nearing a final close for the two vehicles, Bloomberg News reported, citing a person with knowledge of the matter.

* SwanCap Partners GmbH raised €400 million for its latest private equity opportunities fund Swan V. It will invest in private equity firms in Europe and North America through a combination of primary funds, direct coinvestments and secondary funds.

DEALS

* EQT AB (publ) tapped Moelis & Co. in exploring a sale for WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems LLC, Bloomberg News reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter. The laundry machine operator could be valued at about $2 billion, including debt.

* KKR & Co. Inc. launched a tender offer to acquire French renewable energy producer Albioma at €50 per share, plus an 84 euro cents cash dividend for fiscal year 2021. The private equity firm will fund the roughly €1.58 billion offer through its affiliated infrastructure funds.

* Procuritas Capital Investors VI Holding AB acquired a majority stake in Nordic Biomarker, a Swedish manufacturer of reagents for coagulation and clinical chemistry instruments.

* Monroe Capital LLC will invest about $250 million in debt and equity capital in single-family rental platform Second Avenue Group.

* Dallas-based private investment firm Highlander Partners LP acquired Direct Scaffold Supply LP. The acquisition includes the scaffold supplier's affiliates, including DirecTank Environmental Products, GSD Logistics, Beric Valves and Direct Staging and Seating.

* Accel-KKR LLC made a significant investment in Yes Energy LLC, a North American energy market data firm.

* GenNx360 Capital Partners agreed to sell its portfolio company Salford Group Inc., which manufactures tillage and crop nutrition application equipment, to Linamar Corp. for C$260 million.

FUNDRAISING

* Berlin-based mobile tax software application Taxfix GmbH raised $220 million in a series D funding round led by Teachers' Venture Growth, with participation from existing investors Creandum AB, Index Ventures, Redalpine Venture Partners AG and Valar Ventures LP.

* Soccer content provider Onefootball GmbH raised $300 million in a series D funding round led by Liberty City Ventures, Dow Jones Newswires reported. Senator Investment Group LP and Quiet Capital Management LLC were among the investors.

VENTURE CAPITAL

* Vanilla, an estate and wealth management platform, raised $30 million in a series B funding round led by Insight Partners.

* Content personalization provider Movable Inc. raised $55 million in a series D financing round led by Silver Lake Management LLC's Silver Lake Waterman. Intel Capital Corp. and Contour Management LLC were among the investors.
