The US high yield bond market ended January with a bang, logging more than $10 billion in volume over the past week, bringing the monthly total to more than $31 billion. That’s a record for January. Amid the flood of deals, market conditions have softened over the past few days, to be sure, tempering a new-year rally that had dropped high yield bond yields to all-time lows.
