October’s improved market backdrop brought a pick-up in European high-yield issuance, with volume for the month totaling €2.4 billion from five deals, exceeding the €1.8 billion placed in August and September combined.
Although lagging the average monthly issuance of €7.6 billion through the first half of 2015, October has made a better start to the fourth quarter than in 2014, when only €950 million was placed in the comparable month.
The year-to-date bond volume now stands at €58.5 billion, compared to €68.7 billion in the same period in 2014. – Staff reports
