Gridiron Capital LLC is buying AML RightSource LLC from fellow middle-market private equity firm Clarion Capital Partners LLC.

AML is a Cleveland-based outsourced provider of anti-money laundering, know your customer and Bank Secrecy Act compliance solutions. The company's CEO Frank Ewing and President Paul Linehan will remain at the helm.

Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff LLP advised Gridiron on the deal. Raymond James & Associates Inc. was the investment banking adviser to AML, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP was its legal adviser, and RSM US LLP was its accounting and tax adviser. Choate Hall & Stewart LLP advised AML's management.
