Matthew Chung, former cybersecurity head at Morgan Stanley, joined New York-based Goldman Sachs Group Inc. as chief information security officer and head of technology risk, Bloomberg News reported, citing a memo.
Chung will replace Phil Venables, who was appointed as interim chief information security officer following the departure of Andy Ozment earlier this year. Venables will leave at year-end.

Steven Ehrlich resigned as senior executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Harrisburg, Pa.-based Riverview Financial Corp. and its subsidiary Riverview Bank on Sept. 30 to pursue other interests, the company said in an SEC filing.
Ehrlich has served as an executive officer of the company and the bank since 2019. His resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the company or the board, the company said.

Allen Lyda has been elected to fill a vacancy on the boards of Bakersfield, Calif.-based Valley Republic Bancorp and unit Valley Republic Bank, effective Sept. 29.
Lyda will serve as director until the next annual shareholders' meeting, and until his successor has been elected.

Church Hill Classics CEO and founder Lucie Voves has been elected chair of Danbury, Conn.-based Union Savings Bank's board of trustees, becoming the first woman to hold the position in the bank's 154 year history.
Voves succeeds Jeff Levine who retired as chair, but remains on the board.
Financial services
Barry Scoville Jr. has joined Chicago-based Incapital LLC as senior vice president of middle market/institutional sales.
Scoville joined Incapital from Wells Fargo Securities LLC, where he served as director of credit products trading. He will be based in Charlotte, N.C., and will support the firm’s growth initiatives in preferred and hybrid solutions.

Jacqueline Reses intends to resign from her lead position at Square Inc., effective Oct. 30. Reses has worked at Square for five years.

Harvey Werblowsky on Sept. 30 agreed with Emergent Capital Inc. to have his position as chief legal officer and general counsel eliminated.
Werblowsky’s employment with the company will be terminated effective Oct. 9.

Kathleen Hanrahan and Sunil Yadav on Sept. 29 ceased employment with MFA Financial Inc. as senior vice president and chief accounting officer, and senior vice president, respectively.
MFA Financial also appointed Stephen Yarad, who has been CFO since 2010, as chief accounting officer.

Daniel Ryan has joined BTIG LLC's outsource trading division as a managing director.
Prior to BTIG, Ryan was a head trader at Brookfield Asset Management. He will be based in the firm's Red Bank, N.J., office.

Stifel Financial Corp. subsidiary Eaton Partners LLC named Ophir Shmuel managing director and co-head of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Shmuel, who will be based in London, joined Eaton Partners after spending more than 13 years at MVision.
In addition, Anand Tanna joined Eaton Partners as a director, who will be focusing on Middle Eastern investors and will also be based in London.
