Francisco Partners to acquire MyHeritage

Private equity firm Francisco Partners Management LP agreed to acquire Israel-based MyHeritage Ltd.

MyHeritage designs technologies to help users discover their family history research.

Some current investors including Hp Beteiligungs-Gmbh, the company's founder and CEO Gilad Japhet, independent investor Gigi Levy and Yuval Rakavy, will be reinvesting alongside Francisco Partners in the company.

Financial details of the transaction, which is subject to customary regulatory review, were not disclosed.

Goldfarb Seligman acted as legal adviser and J.P. Morgan served as financial adviser to MyHeritage. Meitar and Fried Frank advised Francisco Partners.
